Hello, I'm Donna Fernstrom, known more by my screen name Winged Wolf online. I've been an avid reader since I was a child, and I'm one of those book hoarders with boxes of books stacked in the basement, waiting for the day when I have a home large enough to put them all on shelves. I'm also an author; my debut novel will be self-published in a couple of months. (It's going through final editing right now - with a pro editor). Yes, it's a vampire novel. :) My favorite vampire authors are Tanya Huff, PN Elrod, and Jacqueline Lichtenberg (More for Sime~Gen than the Luren - that counts, right?). I've read and enjoyed many, many more.

In the past, publishers have somewhat restricted the scope of the book universes and stories that authors could tell; it's easier to sell a book that fits neatly into a specific genre. Well, that isn't necessary any longer, so I decided to have a bit more fun, with mine. I've created a framework in which I can tell almost any story, in most any fantasy-related genre... with vampires. ^_^ I'll be able to explore high fantasy, urban fantasy, science fiction, romance, horror... all in the same framework universe. I'm hoping that folks will have as much fun reading it as I'm having writing it.

Are you folks as excited as I am to see what people will come up with, broken free of the chains forged by the marketing research of the big publishing companies? There's never been a more exciting time in fiction, for readers.

In addition to my fiction work, I've also written several non-fiction metaphysical works. I've been a practioner of psionics and energy-working for around twenty-four years, and helped found one of the oldest still-operational psionics support organization websites in the English language, The Psion Guild.
